Property mentor for first rental property

Residential property in Auckland is at an all time high in most areas.   Buying your ideal home in your area of choice is not a realistic choice for many people right now however you can still purchase a home and get on the ladder.

How to elect a home as a rental property is not as easy as it may appear.

Lot’s of research into suitable areas and ensuring all the fundamentals are sound for your investment takes a lot of time.  It is therefore not out of the question to seek guidance from a property mentor before you take a leap of faith.

Often we are told to do it ourselves first then seek assistance.  I’m not a fan of this mindset for big ticket items like property.  Why wouldn’t you seek the input from people who have the knowledge and experience in the areas you wish to invest?

Here is a list of reasons why it can pay to seek assistance from a property mentor…..

  • Provide information about properties on the basis of a thorough search of the market
  • Professionals give the best advice to clients to build and preserve their reputation
  • Have deep understanding and the required knowledge and expertise about the real estate market
  • Understand your needs and help you find the best deals according to your objectives
  • Provide useful leads and links to get discounts and rebates
  • Help to get the best price through negotiations
  • List out the best places for investing in property with higher appreciation potential
